Obtaining wave and wind data are the most critical parameters for the deployment of floating solar power plants, especially for near-shore locations.
Recently, the HelioRec team installed a spotter buoy provided by Sofar Ocean in the Port de Brest for future expansion of the floating solar power plants.
Spotter buoys are designed to make direct observations of wave spectra, wind, sea surface temperature, and atmospheric pressure.
